This is the first book Russ has written but I believe he has tried to put his experience into this for the purpose of uplifting other people who have suffered the same or possibly some other kind of setback. I believe his motive is to share my recovery so that others can see that there is always HOPE.
After his discharge from two hospitals, I wasn't satisfied to just sit at home doing nothing. I spent hours reading out loud to himself to improve his speech. I worked at different jobs trying to improve my interaction with others.

On November 19, 1983, I experienced a life-changing event when I was involved in a serious car accident. Although the accident was not my fault, the details of the incident are less important than the remarkable journey of recovery that followed.
When I emerged from my comatose state, I didn’t recognize anyone, not even my parents, sister, or friends. Upon hearing about my accident, my parents immediately reached out to my sister, their brothers and sisters, my uncle, and cousins. My mother, a devout Catholic, contacted her religious friends, and they began praying for me over the phone. News of my condition spread quickly, reaching my Assistant Manager, who informed all the people at the store, resulting in a wave of support and prayers from over 500 people.
I firmly believe that God had a plan for me, a plan that would take about two years to fully unfold. While I might have been fortunate to recover due to my youth, I am convinced that my recovery was part of a divine plan rather than just a result of my physical resilience.
Today, I can tell you with gratitude and humility that I have recovered.

My mother who was very religious called her friend who was in a prayer group with her, at 4 Saturday morning to pray for me and my mother called my assistant manager to tell him what happened to me and that he would have to go and open the store that I managed at 6:00 am. He told all the customers that came in and knew me what had happened Fighting. My parents called my sister, my grandmother my aunt and Uncle to tell them; word spred like wildfire till I had about 500 people praying for me. The power of prayer is very powerful.
